Are there any employers on here, who could let me know if I can pay an empolyee of mine at the beginning of each month for that one month?
So pay a July's salary on the 1st or the 2nd or so July?
So say the 1st salary this tax year is on the 1st of July and last is on 1 April 2019. In this way there are 10 salaries this tax year rather than 9 if the salary is paid at the end of the calendar month.
Any usefulk links on my query would also be hugely appreciated.

Of course you can pay on any day of the month, provided it agrees with your employee's contract.
But what would you do if the employee left on the 2nd day of the month and refused to return the money you'd already paid them?0 -

The employee is my wife

If she has been working elsewhere prior to the job with you then this strategy means she may end up either owing some tax to HMRC or paying what seems like a lot of tax all in one go on one salary payment.
All depends on whether she had been earning previously, how much she was earning, if that job is continuing and how much you are paying her of course.0 -
Yes, you can do that, but you have to remember that a salary paid 1 July is within the tax month ended 5 July, i.e. payroll month 3. You have to make the RTI submission to HMRC on the payment date ie 1 July.0

Are you set up for PAYE? You need to send a RTI FPS report on or before the employees payday so you will struggle today if you are not already set up.
Also, I am not sure how RTI copes with a payday on first since the month normally starts on the 6th. Edit: Pennywise answered this as I was typing!0 -

Nothing can be earned for June anyway as it has gone.Mishomeister wrote: »Thank you.

You need to set up PAYE/RTI correctly and process a payment on or before 5 July to achieve this.
It is possible, but why do you think it is necessary?0 -
