don't know what to do

i want to get a xmas job just for weekends to make some extra cash but don't know if to or not as it may knock our tax credits down :confused: has anyone got any advice

debt total on 30/07/12 is £4313.52
water £847.75, HSBC £479.66, vodafone £262.35, Captial one £415, AA £47.97, scotcall (scottish power) £622, Arrow £420, Welcome £642.41, CSA (scottish power) £484.90, BT £91.50

    Have a look at the "entitled to" site and see what it says. I know nothing about tax credits - would you be knocked down in the future and for how long, also is it relevant how many hours you work? I think you need to do a little research.

    no started doing people's ironing but only had one person wanting it once a week i get less then a tenner. but i feel like i want to get a weekend job over xmas before my stomach gets to big and to see real people again. dh works mon to fri

  • I'm in the same boat and I start my christmas temp argos job on sat. I've checked entitled to and it doesn't affect us that much at all. if anything it'll be next year that our payments will be lower but that was going to be the case for us anyway as K would be over 1. But by then you'll have a baby so your tax credits will increase anyway!
