Even if there were no named drivers on the deceased's policy, a 30-day grace period would allow a driver with insurance on their own car to drive the deceased's car as long as they had a policy that allowed the driving of cars not belonging to them.

When my Uncle died leaving behind a car, his insurance allowed 30 days which was just enough time for me to bring it home by driving it on my own policy which covered me to drive it 3rd party.
