I have the 2mm and 4mm discs for my Magimix 3200. When needing just a small amount of veggies for coleslaw or stir fry I usually have just reached for sharp knife and board.
I have RA in my fingers, thumbs and wrists so now need to make more use of the kitchen equipment.
Which discs do you use for what purpose, wondering if I would be better getting a bigger grate/slicer and/or a julienne one.
Any thoughts would be appreciated:)

My magimix has slicing discs but it also has two graters which I use a lot. The smaller one grates as finely as a julienne and is great if I want very fine carrot or veggies. The larger one is perfect for cheese or thicker veg for coleslaw if I'm in a rush. I tend to buy up to 4 blocks of cheese at a time grate the lot in the magimix and freeze it in 2 and 4oz portions. Takes no time to defrost and can be tucked into odd spaces in the freezer. The magimix bits are are a bit of a pain to wash but do a good job very quickly - plus the dog loves the chunky bits of leftover carrot0

I have had for years a MOULI JULIENNE which has two different sized grating discs and a larger disc for making vegetable slivers. It's a hand crank but very easy to operate and is my mainstay for making coleslaw and any grated type of salad. Also makes making potato rosti much easier and grating large amounts of cheese too. Hope that helps xxx.0
