Should i chase LLoyds TSB

Hi all, I have a Lloyds TSB Trustcard that i have been paying 'payment protection cover' for almost 9 years, i was always under the impression that it was compulsory and indeed i cannot remember agreeing to take it out or being given any details about it - ie i thought it was a neccesaery part of having a credit card. Plus i was self-employed at the time ( and i still am).Do I have the right to reclaim payments ? Plus call me cynical but i have recently noticed that i can no longer view my credit card statements online, could this be lloyds TSB making it difficult for people to check their account history ? Thankfully i still have every credit card statement for the period in question. ant advice appreciated
