I purchased two off peak day single tickets for a specific time and date and the train was cancelled by Northern Rail. It was a Northern Rail train and I purchased the tickets through Redspottedhanky. When I contacted Redspottedhanky, they told me I could have a refund but there would be a £10 admin charge. Is this correct? It seems a bit unfair to charge this as it was out of my control.

You need to make clear to them that the reason you abandoned your travel plans was that your intended train was cancelled. You can find out from Real Time Trains web site evidence that the train was cancelled. If this matches the itinerary you booked, then they should refund without admin charge.0

Unfortunately Realtime trains does not go back as far as 9/6/18. I have scoured the internet but cannot find confirmation of its cancellation. It was definitely cancelled. Any further advice would be very welcomejbuchanangb wrote: »You need to make clear to them that the reason you abandoned your travel plans was that your intended train was cancelled.
