Response from DCA from my letter regarding

Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone could offer some advice….
Back at the beginning of the year I had contact form a DCA who were acting on behalf of another DCA to chase money for a loan taken out in 2008.
I’m not sure if I paid it off but don’t think I did and if I didn’t then I’m sure it would have been 2008/2009 when I would have stopped paying.
I’ve not heard about this loan since then and so I sent a letter (attached to an email) to this DCA quoting the limitations act to provide evidence that I have had communications with them in the last 6 years regarding this debt.
After 4 months they have sent me an email with a copy of the loan agreement and a statement from the DCA they are working on behalf of.
So no proof of contact -what next steps should I take?
Cheers

Hi,
If you believe there has been a clear 6 years without payment or written acknowledgement by yourself, then send them a copy of this letter :

You do not have to prove anything, the onus is on them to prove it is not statute barred, see what rubbish they come up with now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Ah, well in that case, just add a line or two at the top to say you have written before telling them its SB, if they continue to chase payment on this debt you will have no other option but to escalate the matter to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) :
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
who will investigate the matter to a conclusion, on your behalf.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
