Can I pay my mortgage with a credit card?

As title really. Is there anything stopping or hindering me paying my mortgage with my credit card?

So nationwide don't accept CC payments.
But looks like I can do it here - https://www.plastiq.com/
It would cost me £250 a year in charges to plastiq. But it would net me 20k Avios and a companion voucher every year to use on BA. Which is worth more than £250 a year for sure. Has anyone done this?

I cant see anything about it being eligible for non US residents, if it did work which I cant see it would, you would also need to consider the there would be conversion costs changing to dollars then back again to submit to N/w again. We should also consider if N/w are happy to accept payments not paid from the customer or not by direct debit.

Yeah, didn't realise they were US only (assumed international).
Is there no UK company offers this service? Seems a no brainer to lump big payments onto rewards cards. Does no one else do this to maximise rewards?

No, this question raises its head every so often and thus far there is no workable or cost effective way around it as attractive as the rewards seem.

Will a Curve card linked to your credit card work?

Not for Amex, as it doesn't work with Curve.

You could use Billhop potentially if you were prepared to suck up the fees, but I would tend towards using the card for normal spending and only paying mortgage if it was the only way of hitting the target.

I don't think I will be able to hit 10k a year on pure spending (not including mortgage, taxes, bills). I don't think I spend that much in a year as pure disposable.

A card with money transfer option - not sure why you would do this unless your mortgage interest rate is very high.....then why not just remortgage.
