Hi i need some help and info please. Got myself into bother with loans about 9 yrs ago. Anyway, defaulted. Now paying back everymonth. Equifax doesn't show my dets as more than 6 yrs old, as i thought was correct. Yet i checked experian and the dets of these loans are showing. My credit rating has now went from Good(as i've tried to get back on my feet) mortgage C/C etc...... no pymts missed. To Very poor !!! i don't know what has happened ???? can someone please help me ??? Totally devastated about this.
I was led to belive, debt older than 6 years would not show up ? is this correct or not ????

Hi dblue75,
The 6 year rule applies to debt that has been paid off. As your still paying this debt off its still an active account.
Sorry this probably doesnt help you much at all. Your best bet is to pay the debt off asap.
Also have you done anything else recently? Moved address applied for new cards mortgage etc etc. Just incase there is something else at work here.
