Off work sick, asked to go in to see company nurse

I don't think it's something 'people who work in an office' say, or that a company which looks at whether someone can return to work with support is somehow *not* 'decent.
Perhaps in your job and with your specific injury, there were no reasonable adjustments which could have been made. But for many people, in many jobs, including many who don't work in offices, that isn't the case, and there are adjustment which can be made.
Yes yes, I know what the handbook says..............I was and would not be interested in what adjustments a nurse at work thought or may think could be made. I knew what I had been told by the experts and my family Gp. Working for a decent company they relied on the advise of them who knew more about my well being and best recovery plan. And for that I am very grateful.
Back to the Op question..............yes you do have to attend, take any and all paperwork from your Dr. If you have a Union, get some advise. Be careful in what you agree to. Sick pay is there for a reason. You don't have to feel guilty about having a couple of weeks off.0
