Coming up to the end of my current mortgage deal and looking to remortgage.
Current deal is with Yorkshire Bank, 15 years, 10 months to go.
Rate is 2.99%, payment is £565pcm but I make an overpayment of £100.
Would like to change my mortgage period to 10 years.
YBS showing 2 year fixed @ 1.49% - £690pcm.
I have thought about 5 year fixed with the effect of Brexit looming?
Anyone have any thoughts on Brexit and mortgage rates?
Or do I keep my mortgage period at 15 years, 10 months.
Making my payment on the above £450pcm and overpay £100 each month.
Appreciate any assistance and comments.
Thank you,

Not sure why you would want to pay £690 @ 1.49% interest when you are paying £565 for 2.99% interest so on that basis I would stick with what you have.
As for Brexit and mortgage rates - all we know for sure is that the mortgage rates are the lowest they have been and unlikely to go lower, but unlikely to go up in huge leaps. Noone knows what Brexit will do to the market, I think it will do more to do with what the media scare everyone into thinking.0
