AA Loans - application process and experience

Hi. Just wanted to post about my experience. After looking on Experian to see the most likely option, we were given a 95% likelihood that we’d be accepted, based on our credit rating etc. We made the decision to apply. This is was a Saturday afternoon (23rd Jun). I received an email with the title “You’ve completed your application for a loan with us”. The email said “Congratulations - you’ve signed your loan agreement electronically and subject to final checks your money will be with you soon. That’s it for your application - just sit back, relax and your mon y should be in your account within two working days”.
It was only at that point that I googled people’s reviews about the service received and it’s fair to say I was worried. Checked our bank account today, not even thinking the funds would be there. However, the funds had been transferred (Tuesday afternoon 26/6/18). Hope this is of help.

Corrected that for you0 -
I arranged the finances for my husbands new car through the AA (obviously with his permission) and the rate of 3% he got is fantastic - a much cheaper rate than a dealership might offer.
It’s always great to make a saving and we found the process to be quite easy. Though there was a slight delay with the underwriters as I hadn’t added the balance of a pcp (which was to be cleared off within the car deal the loan was for) when I declared the household commitments.
Once it was explained to them why it was missed off the form (as the old car was a PCP, technically it could have been handed back and left us owing nothing - but we got more by trading it in than doing that (extra £3k)) it was all systems go, the money was released and we headed to Blackburn to pick up his new car (not a PCP).
With us it was an oversight but you have to be perfectly honest with everything you owe elsewhere or it will come back to bite you in the bum - it will all come up before their eyes anyway when they do the credit check. They will refuse credit if you’ve tried to hide anything and possibly that is why other people have fallen foul - but they wouldn’t admit to it I suspect.
Paying less back with the low APR meant my husband could get the car he really wanted, so all smiles here with regards to service.0
