CCJ after Bankrupcy

I went bankrupt in 2014 and had 2 CCJ’s (before bankrupcy) that were dealt with within the bankruptcy and now as far as they people who debts were with are concerned the case is closed and we no longer have accounts with them.

However now looking to remortgage and on my credit report it shows that it!!!8217;s still outstanding and not settled or part satisfied . And we still owe them £900 each odd.

I!!!8217;ve been told we should have the balance showing as zero and they marked as part satisfied, if we had paid them it would be satisfied but as it went under bankruptcy it can!!!8217;t be.

both companies are saying unless we make payment now they can!!!8217;t change the records as it!!!8217;s not paid. But I was under the impression it!!!8217;s against the law to pay them now as they were dealt with under bankruptcy and would seen seen to favour debts over others??

Really confused and unsure where I stand if I have any chance clearing these to get them to show as not owing and atually sorted??

Any advise would be greatful in advance as no idea where I stand thoughts these are in our past !!!128553;

    Hi there

    You're not liable for the CCJs included in your bankruptcy so you should not make any payments towards them. However a CCJ can only be marked as satisfied or unsatisfied. As you technically haven't paid the CCJ it has to remain unsatisfied. The CCJ itself will drop off your credit file 6 years after the date it was made.

    There is some useful information about your credit file after bankruptcy here https://debtcamel.co.uk/credit-file-after-bankruptcy/.
