Payday loan reclaim

I submitted a letter to Payday UK regarding an irresponsible lending complaint.. and they requested bank statements from the time in question... however they stated it was their "final response."

Getting hold of the statements has proved tricky as Ive moved home and bank since the time in question. I do now have them however on replying to PDUK they state as it is outside the 6 months since their "final response" ( by a couple of days) they can no longer consider this.

I am aware of the 6 month limit to refer to the FOS following a "final response"... but can a letter requesting further information be fairly accepted as such? Surely a request for info is not a final response... Thoughts?
