Boots contact Lens Reward scheme?

Advice needed please! I am thinking of going on this scheme, can anyone tell me if it will be worth it for me? I was told the contacts I want will be £46 upfront or £19 per month dd. I am still a bit confused (It was a youngster doing the explaining and it was all a bit of a rush!) - will I get the lenses straight away or not until I have paid enough by dd? I don't intend to wear them everyday, so could get by with 30 pairs every 3 months or so. I am not fussed by the extras such as money off glasses etc, though if not on the scheme I understand I will be charged for check-ups.

Why not pop into Boots and ask for a clearer explanation? Surely they will have a leaflet available?0

Thanks but I wanted someone who has been on the scheme to tell me if they think it's worth it in their experience. Boots are not going to tell me the cons only the pros!0

I'm on the scheme, I've been on it just over a year now.
When I went on it, I paid an upfront cost of £42 and that enabled me to get 3 months supply of contact lenses straight away as they ordered them in and I picked them up the day after. Then I paid £14 a month from the following month and every 3rd month they despatch the next lot of lenses.
I've found it great, you get free contact lens checks and 10% off boots own branded products which is great for me as I use their no7 makeup and do most of my toiletry shopping there.
It also enables you to change your delivery date if you think you're gonna run out early. I only wear mine for social wear so nights out and my days off so very rarely run out, but when i realised I would run out while on holiday I rang them up, paid my direct debit early and received my next batch in time for my holiday.
I would definitely recommend it.
My sister is on it as Well, and she wasn't given the option of paying for 3 months supply up front so had to wait 3 months for her first delivery, they gave her 10 pairs as part of the trial and then nothing else.0 -
My experience is the same as Nicola83's. It's a great scheme and the 10% off Boots products is useful. You also have the option of cancelling the DD for a few months if you have a build up of unused lenses. The rules are that you need to keep paying one DD every 6 months to stay on the scheme.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. That sounds good, they mentioned a figure of 46 cash to me,but didn't term it up front so if that means I will get 3 months supply I will definitely sign up. Like you I won't be wearing them everyday.0

I love the scheme. I love getting half-price glasses as I need expensive glasses (crappy eyes) and I also find the 10% off Boots own-brand products really useful. I pause it whenever I get a backlog of contact lenses as I don't wear them all the time and I still get the benefits even when the scheme is paused.0
