Hi,
I was registered self employed i have an accountant. I owe a prepayment to HMRC which I can't afford to pay. (Thus year has been a difficult start).I have a credit card which I can transfer the funds into my account.
Would it be better to pay and get 0% for several months or try my luck with HMRC to see if they will adjust my tax code?

Definitely try HMRC first. I have always found them very helpful. If you do get an unsympathetic jobsworth ring back. May alter tax code or do repayment plan.SCP # 034
