In the winter DH takes soup or things like home made veggie chilli to heat up in the microwave. Whenever I make anything like that I make enough for four and freeze two portions. At the moment he's taking a lot of salads. T**** do a small salad cheese-like feta-so I keep a couple of portions of that in the fridge. Today he took Mary Berry's feta, cucumber and watermelon salad. He also likes greek salad or is quite happy with bread, a lump of cheese with pickle, olives or tomatoes.

I freeze rolls or a cut up loaf to go with the salads. For days when I'm in a hurry I keep a couple of ham or beef and pickle sandwiches in the freezer. If I have any pastry left when I'm baking I'll usually make some kind of pasty or savoury open tart -at the moment there's a blue cheese and mushroom pasty in the freezer-made with leftovers from last weekend.
