Hsbc mortgage application

Does anyone know exactly what DECISION OBTAINED means on an online mortgage application? It is going to underwriters.

Also, we are older borrowers but have superb credit scoring and history - no debt whatsoever and solid incomes (pensions). LTV - 44%.

The HSBC say they don't have a maximum age limit for re-payment - is this true?

We passed the DIP, passed the formal 2 hour telephone interview where we were told affordability wasn't an issue, we were okay but it went to underwriters.

Wondering whether to become slightly excited or worried?

That all sounds fine to be honest.

Has your valuation/survey been done by hsbc?
As sometimes on the portal is says decision based on valuation.
