I`m not saying borrowing is all bad, but there are better ways of going about it, such as saving for instance, it seems everyone is obsessed with credit scores and getting into debt these days.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you sourcrates, that is so true, why would you need a good credit rating, to get credit, right.
HOWEVER I guess also important for mortgages and even job applications (not sure?)
It has certainly been hard saying no to think, even though I am soooo close now.0 -
Well done OP! It is a great feeling being so close to being debt free. I will be debt free in November this year. I currently put around £500-£700 a month into the debts to clear it off and £450 a month into savings. I cannot wait for Decembers pay day when I can budget my money and know that none of it will be going to debt. Instead I will be focusing on regular savers to keep me in good habits. And I will be paying for a holiday to the USA. I will of course be saving for this and paying it outright. No credit cards. No loans!
Next year in November 2019 I will have enough saved to buy my first home. (With a mortgage of course, but this is acceptable debt) even then I do not like the idea of being due any company money anymore I will chip away at this mortgage as quick as possible. Which will involve... you guessed it intense saving every month.LBM 01/12/2015 (roughly) | Debts at Highest £9128.00 | Current Debt £0.00!!!!!:j:money:
