Car valuation

Hi, I understand I need a car valuation and have been on the Parkers website. Does the OR use the trade or private sale price as their guideline?
The list value of mine is around £2700 however it has several large dings which I was quoted around £1000 to repair and two of the windows don’t work anymore, other issues with electrics and just old and a bit tired. Is that taken into consideration?
I use it to take my child to nursery - will I be expected to move him to a nearer one so we could walk. I am a sahm at the moment but when I return it is doubtful I would get work in the town I live.
I did wonder if a friend or family member purchased it then I used it if that would be ok? Also would it be ok to have sold at a private price (coming in at £1400).
