Is the £1000 trading allowance in place

Hi all,
I am happy to see that it looks like this £1000 allowance is in place which is why I am now going to start picking up surveys again after I stopped as I couldn't be faffed with the self-assessment!
Does anyone know whether this would count towards the £1000 though?
My Nan gave me some of her collectibles to sell as she was moving house and didn't have the space... these are items that were written to me in her will anyway but she asked me to take them early. Would the money i've made from selling these be included or not? I'm hoping not because they were gifted to me and not purchased to make a profit, in the same way if she gifted me £500 for my birthday I wouldn't declare that. Is this right?0
