Transfer mortgage offer to new house?

I had a mortgage offer on a house but the sellers have pulled out due to problems higher up in the chain (still unclear to me). I have found a cheaper house I want to put an offer on. If it is accepted can I simply transfer the mortgage offer to the new house , subject to a valuation of course? Or would I be looking to start the whole process from scratch?

Will contact my broker on Monday but just looking for anyone to give a but if insight. thanks
