New job after mortgage offer?

Options
I have just received a formal mortgage offer but have also just been given a job offer, literally 1 day apart. The job is almost exactly the same and at a salary at the same/slightly more than my current position. The only difference is the company. If I were to take the job, I would probably end up starting in around 3 months' time and there will likely be a 6 month probation period. I would hope to complete the house buy by the end of the summer, but I guess there are no guarantees.

Is this something that the mortgage lender could rescind my offer on? Is it something I need to declare to them? I haven't decided whether to accept the job or not yet, this is the main thing holding me back. Would appreciate your insights, thanks.

Do you have a provisions in case you take the new job and get sacked during the probation period?
  • Unfortunately not. I am fairly confident I would pass the probation period but it is a different company potentially with different expectations...
