    We only went direct as our brokers view of the impact not being on the electoral roll was incorrect but we took the risk to go direct however we did an AIP firstly which is what the broker said we were failing on.

    Although the credit report score has no bearing on halifaxs score there is one common ground which is get it in the best shape you can so no missed payments, good utilisation on debts etc. But if you have specific credit issues on your report a good broker will have a good idea of which lenders woukd consider you
