Had a caller at the door...worth a punt? They seem marginally cheaper than Power NI but not sure if its worth the hassle of switching for all I would save.
We have a direct debit going out every month to PNI and its not for a great amount anyway.
Just curious to see what anyone thinks whos been there

My opinion, but for the meagre amounts that are saved it is not worth the hassle. What we saved by switching would not have bought a fish supper and the lack of customer service sent me back to Power NI. Better the devil you know.0

Thanks for the reminder! I contacted them on 30th May about my 1 year payment, we will get back to you in 3 working days......nothing so far. Will just phone them then shop around once I get the money0

I phoned about my one-year payment and it was on my account the next day.
I was with PowerNI for years they never did anything for me to make me want to stay with them.0 -
Everyone should use their freedom to switch. Its not really any hassle as its done for you and you will save money. It helps keep prices down and at the end of the day the electricity that comes through your wires is the same no matter who your provider is.I started out with nothing......And still have most of it left:p0

They seem to be all just billing companies..........go for the best deal and keep switching0

Electric Ireland is a subsidiary of the ESB as is NIE. So with this setup the ESB is both supplying you with electricity and maintaining the network.
These are the only two ESB companies not to use the ESB name. Electric Ireland used to be ESB Customer Supply and later ESB Electric Ireland until the CER (now CRU) ruled that they had to trade without the proud name of the ESB.{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}0 -
Not really sure what that last post is about?? Whats ESB? whats CER, CRU? how does it affect me?0
