PCDL Issue - Any Help?

I am currently in full time employment as a chef and want to change careers to a bookkeeper.
I have been looking at a Personal Career Development Loan as I would have to reduce my hours and do part time temping jobs.
I have a young family of a wife and two children so need to cover the loss of earnings somehow.
The courses I can do are all open learning and therefore have no finish date which means the PCDL won't accept them.
The Learner Providers all have their own loans to cover the costs of the courses but they won't cover the loss of earnings.
I'm at a loss as to what to do so any advice would be helpful, thanks!

It would be impossible to get a loan that would cover living expenses when your income isn't high enough to cover those expenses. You'll fail any affordability test.

Only option is to work as many hours as you can, reduce spending here amd there with the aim to safe up enough so you can pay for the course.

Who is the provider of the course ?
You thought of the OU ?
