Barclays Mortgage Application

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help. We applied via a mortgage broker last Wednesday and he told us the application had been pre approved and we would hear confirmation of full approval in 7 days. We have no facility to track it ourselves and have not had any dealings with Barclays ourselves. When the broker applied last week would he have received any more information. What does pre approved mean is this a DIP?
We are using the HTB scheme as buying a new build house. House price is £359,995 HTB contribution £71.999 and our deposit £50,001 so looking for a mortgage of £237.995. So from an affordability point of view we are ok.

Yes, pre approved is a dip.
Did he/she mean 7 days (tomorrow) or seven workings days (Friday).
Either way you should have an update this week.
Have you applied for the equity loan and received your Authority to Proceed?I am a Mortgage Broker

7 working days so Friday we should have an answer on the credit side of things and then they will arrange the valuation. Yes we have already received our authority to proceed from the HTB scheme.0

I!!!8217;ve been checking my online report and so far no sign of a search on either Experian or Equifax. So fingers crossed for news on Friday. I guess I!!!8217;m worried as i!!!8217;ve read a few horror stories on line about Barclays and time scales.0
