A CCA is a letter that is legally worded for the company to supply proof that they own the debt and have proof that you owe the debt by way of signature on application etc. There is a template letter on this site, you send to the DCA or the financial institution along with a £1 cheque/postal order. This then gives them so many days to provide this information and if they cannot then there are legal implications for them.0

Thanks for the help everyone!
When I missed the payments I paid extra to clear them straight away (the missed payment and the fine).
I'll give the CCA a go and post when I find out more
