Tag 2 friends

I don't get facebook(or any social media).
I can't seem the tag friends properly. When I enter the name of a friend in the comments section they appear as text only. In comments by other people, I see that the friends they tag are all clickable links. Why are my friends not like this? Is it an apps thing on mobiles? I use firefox on a desktop. Perhaps you cannot tag properly on this platform?

When I start typing the name of a Facebook Friend I get a list come up and then I click on one and that creates a link/tag to them.

The list only appears though when I start typing the name with a capital letter though .

I mostly use Facebook/s mobile site, although I did get a problem trying to activate the list when on a Facebook business page.
