Northern Rail cancellation question

Apologies if something similar has been posted before but I was wondering whether anyone could give any pointers as to what can be claimed for a cancelled train, but there are a few points to note.

1: My daughter was due to get the last Northern Rail train from Liverpool to Manchester which was cancelled.
2: There was a replacement bus service which was running 20 minutes late.
3: My daughter was due to get a connection from Manchester to Leeds, but due to the late replacement bus service, she would have missed this as well.
4: As my daughter had to be in Leeds for the following morning, I drove her from Liverpool to Leeds to ensure she was there on time.

So my questions are:

1 - Can she claim for her full ticket?
2 - Can I claim anything back for taking her to Leeds by car?

Many thanks in advance
