There are a number of lenders who are flexible with missed payments, payday loans and defaults. The main thing is normally how old they are and whether or not they are settled. With payday loans they also look at how often they were taken out. I have got a client a mortgage recently who had a payday loan in March and because it was a 1 off the lender was fine with it. If there are a number of them you will likely have to wait for at least 12 months from when the last one was paid off
