Any Omagh folk with kids on site?


My niece and nephew moved in with my husband and I in March. It's a permanent arrangement, as my sister has mental health issues. Kids are 7 and 12.



We aren't fortunate enough to have our own kids so although we love having them, this is a very steep learning curve.



Looking ideas for the summer break. TBH, I really don't know what summer schemes look like nowadays. We are easy walking distance from the town centre, have car access.

Bravo you,! Have you established a good relationship with the schools they attend? They may be able to advise as may some of the other parents if you get the opportunity to ask.

Have the children moved far to be with you? Old friends still nearby?
Are they in a new school? have they settled and made new friends?


What are the friends /classmates doing over the summer?


Have they attended any sports or clubs previously?


Most summer schemes are only for a few hours during the day 10-2 type thing.


GAA Cul camps run at different clubs in the area over the summer these last for a week at each club
Swimming or life saving classes.
Karate or self defence classes
Youth Club
