Is this a glimpse of hope

So after the long drawn out saga which I have posted on here a few times(sorry!!) there may be some hope at the end of the tunnel.

We have been through quite a bit with our case and in HTB, selling a house, bad solicitor, not so good credit history, high debt and utilisation of it, application declines due to names inputted wrong and lower LTV due to change of address and now maybe a bad broker.

In a good way this forced us to pay off a lot of debt which is maybe why we are where we are now fingers crossed.

After our broker telling is we were only able to get 65% LTV instead of 75% LTV when they inputted the new address we decided to check this ourself today.

So did an AIP with Halifax and flew through. Spoke to a Mortgage advisor and they did a further AIP thing and still fine and said the address thing will have no impact and it did not. Decided to do a full application and again went through fine.

So we are now waiting for our payslips to be checked and a valuer being instructed Monday which yes we are not there yet but my view is we were always the problem in terms of our credit and history so if we have now passed that then it should just be the verification of payslips which is fine and the house valuation and as it has had on valuation and it is a new build then the odds are on our side it will be fine.

So finally I am hoping we have sone good news but one thing for certain is our broker is gone as we have realised as much as a good broker like our last one can open doors for you, a bad broker can close many more you shoukd have access to.

So as usual I am worried as our broker we have dropped has advised that 100% Halifax will take the new address and not on the electoral roll into their score so is concerned how we got through a full application hard search.

Has anyone had experience with this as I am thinking once we are oast the hard search approval nothing should be an issue now aslong as our payslips and valuation are fine. This is also what the Halifax Mortgage advisor said but am I being too confident and could something like the address still come back to bite us?

So it seems we are progressing.

Mortgage Advisor put our minds at rest by advising the full application was accepted and although there will be a couple of checks in the the few days after it is only going to decline at this point if something we said was wrong, we did not declare something or the valuation has an issue which we know on all 3 accounts this will not have any issues. Also apparently as we were only requested to give 1 payslip each that was a good sign.

So today we received an email from what looks like the next stage/checks he was on about as mentioned we needed to produce ID in branch which he alredy advised us of so have done this and says it is with our processing department and hope to provide you an offer soon and a pack is coming out to us.

I know we are not there yet but this has to be more encouraging news
