First mortgage payment

Hi Can anyone advise...

We will be completing on the 17th August when will our first payment go out? Can we select a date or will it go out when we move in? Mortgage is with Natwest.

I have a natwest mortgage. Unless you asked for something differnt it will go out on the 1st.


I cannot remember if they will just take the part payment or a month and the part payment. I would expect it to be a payment and a half for budgeting reasons but I cannot be sure. Maybe someone else knows better?

Probably 1st October. Timescale is very tight for 1st Sptember set-up.

So will the 1st October be a pro-rata'd payment an a half or just one payment?

Whenever we have set up a mortgage we have requested the date the payment goes out. The first "month" can be almost two months depending upon timing.
