When booking a ticket to or from an airport the website gives an option to pay an additional £5 to add flexibility. You can then catch an earlier or later coach (up to 12 hours) with no additional cost http://www.nationalexpress.com/wherewego/airports/index_v1.aspx
This has been the case for at least the last two years.
