Employer checks

Hello
I have submitted my mortgage application with RBS. I am looking to borrow 45,000 with a 20,000 deposit. I have the agreement in principle.
Yesterday they requested i upload online 3 months payslips and 3 months bank statements. I sent statements showing the deposit amount, and additional savings totallying around 6000. The monthly mortgage payments are 160, so the savings would cover payments for several years without taking into account my income.
Would this normally be enough information for them or are they likely to make additional checks such as contacting my employer?
My income is made up of my salary and disability benefits that they accept as additional income. All income goes into my current account so is showing on the statements I sent. Are RBS likely to contact my employer for confirmation of my income? I am concerned as I work for a small charity and the person who does the payroll is on annual leave....... Given my large deposit and the fact my salary is not my sole income am I likely to satisfy requirements without the employer checks? Or are these done as standard?
Any advice would be appreciated, I am finding this process very stressful!
Thank you

They won't contact your employer. They want to see 3 months payslips and 3 months bank statements and this is a perfectly normal request. Have you sent them what they asked for? The fact that you have savings to cover mortgage payments is irrelevant.0

Yes I have sent them the payslips and statements. That sounds good was worried the employer checks would hold up my application. Thank you for the reply0
