IPA letter help

Hi,
As you may or may not know I filed for BR on 13.4.18 and was accepted. I had my interview which I stated that I sometimes earn OT about £250 or less a month. The inetrviewer was very vague indeed about the whole thing "maybe you can keep car" "maybe you will have to pay" but he did say quite clearly on the call that i could earn up to £250 in OT only if I went over would I need to inform them? I filed in my joint SOA, and sent it back.
Today i returned from work to find letter stating that as my raxcode has changed to NT I will need to pay an IPA of just short of £106pm, no issues with the amount. My debt was over £37k so I guess £106pm is okay.
My problem is the letter was very vague about next steops (doesn't give any at all)
so my questions are:
1. How do I pay? no instructions to pay via dd, debit card etc..
2. One part of letter states arrangement till end of financial year, another states could be longer.. How long is it exactly gonna be for if my income doesn't change?
3. Will i be reviewed and asked to end bank statements/pay slips every month? 6 months? annually? at all???
I find this whole process a very vague one and not black and white at all...
I'm a man who likes to know where he stands and at the minute I feel i'm standing very much in the unknown..
Guess I will make a call to them on Monday propbably have to talk to the very vague, sounds like an old age pensioner who stammers/very nervous case handler again, bet he still gives me no real answers...
Any help would be appreciated

Hi maybe this old age pensioner can help....
Do you normally pay £106 in tax? if so it sounds like this is a nil tax code I.P.A no tax is taken from your salary but you need to keep this amount separate as you will need to pay it to the O.R or his agent, this runs until the end of the tax year or if you change jobs.

You have to inform the O.R of any changes to your income within 21 days.

If you are allowed to keep that much overtime it appears to be very generous but remember you would have paid more tax so keep that amount separate.

Thanks for the reply, I honestly don't really know what I normally pay in tax as my wages can change due to the Overtime, some months there is none, sometimes there's a little, sometimes alot.
I guess they have worked it out o an average, which is fine and i'm happy to pay this but it's all very vague. Like I say the guy at interview stage (same guy who has spoken to time a couple times after and who i have been told to contact with any questions) did say that if I didn't have to bother advising if below £250pm.
I understand I would have paid more in tax when I earn overtime but the letter states just short of £106 is my ipa, so if it's stating that amount why would I need to keep extra behind and if i did how much more would i need to keep? the whole point of knowing what the amount is so that you pay that amount each month. If it's gonna change monthly I wanna know what it's gonna be so I work out my money? Don;t know if that makes sense or not but surely I can't be the only one who finds this whole thing vary too vague??

It's a separate company (it was Clarke Wilmott when I did it up until last Dec) who deal with the actual payments and they contact you separately after receiving notification from the OR. Payments are made via their website and they send you all the details of how to login and pay it.

Although fully expecting to, notification of NT code didn't come through until too late in the tax year although I kept being asked to send in payslips to prove I hadn't got the NT code so not sure how that is paid in. However, one off payments, such as work bonus and an honorarium, and a tax rebate, were paid direct to the OR and I was sent bank details to make those payments.

If you're not sure, just contact your OR or Clarke Wilmott once you hear from them. I found both really helpful.
