5 yr Old missed payments - Help!

Options
Hello!

Myself and my partner have just had an offer accepted on a house Yay!!

We have an agreement in principle for a 60% mortgage, and we’re lending towards the low end of what they have offered us.

I was just checking through my Noddle credit report and noticed some old missed payments on an EE account from 2013. The missed payments were due to an error at EE where I opened a new bank account and passed my new details to them for my DD payments, but they kept trying to take the money out of my account before Barclays had approved the DD application (this is what Barclays told me after about 6 months of experiencing this problem).

My question is, will this affect my final mortgage application?

My credit rating is excellent, no other missed payments, no credit (apart from CC which is paid in full at the end of every month). No other bad stuff!

I’m a complete newbie to this as this is my first time as a homeowner so appreciate any advice offered.

Thank you !!!128578;

    Can't answer the Q. But I'd point out that banks don't need to approve DDs.
    DDs are an instruction by an account holder to the company you are paying to pull the money from your bank.

  • This was the answer Barclays gave me after months of trying to sort it out. The late payments only started happening after I tried to change my bank details. I have no idea what the issue was now then !!!129300;

    I have 3 different four and five year old late payments and was worried as well. I received my mortgage offer last week and they did not even query them and that was for a 90% mortgage.

    I think if you have managed your finances well since they are probably not that bothered. Like you, I have not had late payments since and only have a CC which I use for a few purchases and pay off every month.

    Contact EE.
    I had a similar problem with o2. when i left them they added an incorrect early termination charge which my bank refunded under DD guarantee. 4 weeks later they then refunded the amount back to my bank so i got refunded twice.
    They never asked for the money (under £10 ) back. 4 years later i see a default payment on my credit check.
    A quick call/email to o2 and it was removed
  • Thanks for the advice, I will contact EE about this but good to know it will probably be ok !!!128077;
