Nationwide - First time Buyer

Hi all.
Looking for some advice, please. (Of course, I'm worrying a little desperate to buy our first home!)
I'm a first-time buyer and going for a house just over £90k.
I when with Nationwide via a broker
Had a DIP the same day accepted. Then had a text a day later saying they have received our application, then 24 hours later had a text to say a valuation has been booked.
On the DIP it says all they needed was my payslips (No problem) and my wifes.... but my wife has been off work for the past 8 months on maternity leave and because she only works part time the company didn't pay her anything and she received a statutory pay from HMRC so we're unable to provide payslips for her. I did tell the broker this but he said he would just write to her work.
She's going back to work this week but won't get a payslip until the end of the month.
Are Nationwide normally pretty good for only asking stuff at the start or do they keep requesting more information?
I'm worried what they are going to ask next. Both of our credit ratings are good.
Clearly overthinking things....
Have a good evening,

The Lender will check with the employer when your wife returns to work and on what basis.
They will be interested in any child care costs.
As you may imagine this is a regular complications for which there is a defined process.I am a Mortgage Broker

Dont forget to claim child benefit and tell your broker. As this counts as extra income.0
