It's a good job my friend cooked me this lovely meal for my tea last night. M&S meat and proper home made roast potatoes and yorkshire pud (no crappy Auntie bessie:p:p).

Cos I got stuck on the motorway not moving for an hour and half in this

I finally arrived home at 2.15 am. A journey that should have taken no more than an hour took me 3 1/4 hours. I think the gritters were all on a break:( After that journey, even I am tired and think I will get plenty of kip
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

  • Good morning all - well what a night that was. We had at least 20-30 cm of snow dropped on us which has made our road impassable now an brought the main road to a standstill. Nothing moved and vehicles have been abandoned all over the road. And nothing is moving now either. I have seen the gritters at work but we have had so much snow the grit doesn't seem to be working properly.

One of the cats went out and disappeared  it is so deep and OH had to go and get him.:(

Needed to go out this morning but don't think I will risk it - we have enough food in so that is the main thing.

Good to hear you quit a few years ago, I stopped for 3 years but slipped back into it. Must stay strong though.I tried to get some of the bubble bath earier but it had been fixed, looks nice though.

TS I did feel so much better after quitting for a good few years before, I hate the feeling of being deprived though even though theres nothing really to miss though.

    xx

Really hope you manage it PM - know its hard as I gave up myself years ago but I feel so much better for stopping. Give it your best shot:T:T:T

The Sun is starting a giveaway tomorrow until 30 Jan 2013, collect three different numbered tokens and you can get a voucher for Red Spotted Hanky worth £9.50.

It is available to both new customers and existing customers.

Thanks for the heads up Aesop - we have a small shop within walking distance so will get OH to walk down for me later.

Will give him a good opportunity to walk through all the new unmarked snow which he loves doing:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning all

Not feeling to good this morning really bad neck pain thinks its combination of broken nights, carrying baby too much (clingy phase at mo) and the cold weather but I can't look left or hardly move this morning.

Couple quick notes picked up on othe threads

Sains bubble bath no longer glitching

Argos amended their gift card scheme you can now only buy leisure cards whatever that means but boots and next and debenhams all runoured as no longer working

Off out to check on my nana now and have a cuppa with her (may take some FF I think)

It looks like you don't need the paper, just the codes, which wil be on the news thread hopefully. I guess you can miss this until he has been out if you want a bit of peace/to give OH some exercise;)

That meal looks delicious - wish somebody would make a meal like that for me.:(

The road pic looks horrendous - main thing is you got back ok. Its always hard work driving in bad conditions so no wonder you are shattered.

    Good morning everyone.

The snow is far too thick to venture out so will stay in and list on ebay instead.

Take care if you have to go out and put a blanket in the car, just in case you get stuck somewhere.
