    Are you now living alone as a result of the breakdown?

    If so, have you advised the council and have you been awarded the 25% single occupancy discount from the date you became the sole occupant?

    How far are you behind that £50 a month won't cover it?

    Usually CT debt recovery is keen to get it paid off by the end of the financial year. An extra £50 a month would be an extra £450 by the end of the financial year, not counting this month. Is your Ctax over £225 a month?

    definitely follow up on SPD or council tax reduction benefit if your income allows.
