When do I instruct my solicitor to proceed and complete mortgage app?

Hi,


I'm waiting on a surveyor to check out my house I'm buying.


Will I hold off on instructing my solicitor to proceed and completing my mortgage application the surveyor has visited?

    Your solocitor doesn!!!8217;t do that.

    The lender may make an offer once the surveyor has reported back, if there are no issues and the rest of the checks (affordability etc) come back ok.

    The lender then sends the offer to you and the solocitor, and the solicitor can then continue doing the relevant legals.

    If you are having your own survey done first, you might as well wait for the results before you do anything else.
