Google Chrome help

Having used Internet Explorer for years, have decided to download Google Chrome.

Can anyone please advise whether you can have your Favourites in a sidebar, rather than at top of screen?

Have googled but unsure which method to use.

Also, are there any extensions or add-on's which others find useful for comping?

Thanks for any advice.

I don't have my favourites showing, I use the 3 dots in the corner and show bookmark manager and they are all in there.

I use the user agent switcher add on extension for when I enter mag dailies, i switch it to ipad and it skips the videos.

You can get "plugins" for chrome, called Extensions.
Here's one for having a bookmark sidebar :

    Just click "Add to Chrome"
(I don't use it, never have used it so this isn't a personal recommendation, just one that's available)

Please can you tell me how to use the user agent switcher for the mag dailies, I have it installed but don't know what to do with it. When I click on it a list of 'browsers' (I think -totally not techi) appears - do I click on ios - is that ipad? Then go back to the chrome when I've done?

Yes just click ipad (under IOS) the globe will now have the word on over it, then I open the mag dailies in my bookmarks. Sometimes can take a couple of minutes to adjust and will give me questions instead of videos but usually it's sorted by the 3rd mag.

    Thanks for replying, much appreciated.

I will look at the sidebar extension, suggested by sleepyjones, thank you. Also the other extension.

With using IE, I find it useful having a list of Favourites at the left-hand side of page, as they can be opened quickly. Currently, using Chrome, my Favourites show at top, and don't seem as accessible.

RoboForm works well in Chrome, and I will take time getting used to the new browser.

Will have a look at extensions later, thanks for your help.
