Belfast international security queue times

Hi, we are heading away early on Thursday. I heard a few weeks ago reports of excessive queues at security. My OH gets very stressed in these situations (lol), and I’m considering purchasing priority security lane. Just wondering if it was a one off or an ongoing issue, anyone been through the airport recently?

Was through this morning at about 7:30, took about 20 minutes, no big issue. Queue was a bit longer than I've seen before at similar times but all lanes were open and moving pretty quick.

Went through last Saturday - I had purchased priority online, wish I hadn't as there was only about 20 people in the queue!

There is a ticket machine at the top of the stairs, so you can see if there is a queue and then decide.


Unfortunately, from the picture I saw a few weeks ago, the issue was that you couldn't get up the stairs in the first place ( because of the queue )!
