Metro Bank Mortgage? Advice?

Hi all,
First time poster here so be gentle.
I'm a first time buyer and my partner and I have an offer accepted on a house. Now we know where we stand in terms of property price etc. we are relooking at our AIPs and mortgages in general to make sure we get the best deal.
We've stumbled upon Metro Bank and I've tried to do a little research around their mortgages and there isn't much on them. Has anyone applied for a mortgage with them? How was it for you?
They have one of the best deals for our situation but I'm hesitant as there isn't a local branch.
Hope you can help!
Thanks
J

Ive used them a few times.
They are kind of an average lender, I do not mean that in a bad way more that they can be good or bad on rates, underwriting is never a doddle, but also never overly difficult etc. I am quite happy to use them which I can not say for all lenders.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
