Discharged Bankrupt

Hi all
I was declared bankrupt in July 2012 and discharged from bankruptcy in 2013. So in July this year it will be off my credit report.
I am fully aware that I’m still a specialised case and that I have to declare the bankruptcy. My question is, should I go with a broker or straight to the building society? Too much conflicting info out there it’s confusing me so much.
Please help. Thanks

A broker who deals with adverse credit is your best bet, they will know which lender will suit you"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Straight to the building society? Which one?
Most lenders need 6 years discharged (not 6 years from registration).
At 5 years discharged there are maybe 4-5 decent rate lenders I can think of where on the face of it you fit criteria. But without seeing your credit reports nobody can say.
Personally, I would use a broker. I do not mean to come across as biased when I say that, but more you will get questioned about it, there will be extra requirements and you may need to avoid certain lenders.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
