If you want to max out the pension you should look at extending the terms to reduce the capital paid.
The simple comparison is add the fees make the payments the same and see what's left using a simple calculator.
You can then factor in the lower rate/payment and paying that into the pension.0 -

Thanks for the advice but I feel better paying down the mortgage so they finish at roughly the same time, work and repayment.
I’m sure I could get more going I/O but if I do decide to carry on working then there is a danger I’ll hit the pension lifetime allowance.0
