The winner and a guest will enjoy a seven-night full-board cruise on the River Douro, in northern Portugal and Spain, travelling on the MS Douro Prince. Reserved exclusively for Jules Verne guests, this small and charming river cruiser explores the dramatic Douro Valley, taking in two Unesco World Heritage Sites — Vila Nova de Gaia, south of Porto, and the ancient university town of Salamanca, in Spain.
The valley is famous for its production of port wine, and the green cascade of vines on its steeply terraced slopes is a constant feature of the trip. There’s also a port-wine cellar tour in Porto and a tasting in Pinhao.
The prize, which includes return flights from Gatwick to Porto and transfers, must be taken on one of the 10 scheduled cruise departures between June 30 and October 27, 2018, subject to availability and excluding public holidays.
