Hard searches prior to mortgage application

Back in April, I didn't expect to buy with mortgage this year and got myself a credit card and a current account with no overdraft facilities . There are two hard searches on my report in May, but the accounts are yet to be reported in May.
In the giffgaff one, I have the June version in which the points (which I have been told not to care too much as lenders see it differently) drop a bit (2%)
My credit card utilization is very low (<5%), will that still kill my mortgage applications?
