Hi All
i just got to fine a letter from the county court saying arrow global have gone to court of got a warrant of control for an old CCJ from Oct 2012 , i recently received a letter saying they had bought the debt etc etc and please contact them , i didn't think anything of it as it was such an old debt and their reputation as useless
i would like to know my options? as they are threatening bailiffs to my home to remove goods. what grounds do i have to dispute this considering the debt is status barred in 4 months?
any help or advice would be great

Hi,
No grounds whatsoever unfortunately.
The debt will not become statute barred in four months as legal action was taken, once that happens the limitations act no longer applies.
Arrow have gone back to court to enforce the debt, so having spent that money i would take the threat seriously and arrange a payment plan with them, unless you want to deal with bailiffs that is.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi Jay
If you can't come to an arrangement with Arrow Global there is an application you can make to the court to stop the bailiff action and agree a payment plan. The application costs £50 but if you are on a low household income you may not have to pay the fee. You'll find a factsheet that explains the process here https://www.nationaldebtline.org/EW/factsheets/Pages/stoppingbailiffaction/countycourtbailiffs.aspx.
